How can I join a Steering CWC (Core Working Committee)?

Foundation is currently inviting members to constitute Steering CWCs:

Following guidelines explain how member(s) shall constitute Steering CWCs:

Step 1: A member of the Open Council's Steering Council shall generally nominate a community proposal for appointing a member to a Steering CWC.

For the nomination to be successful, at least four members - The nominee, Member of the Steering Council nominating the member to CWC, two members from the project shall participate in the community proposal for the proposal to be taken up by the Steering Council members for a Council vote.

To build community consensus, a nominated candidate should work with the guidance of the member, nominating the candidate and publish a public facing report to support their nomination.

Step 2: Steering Council members call a Council Vote on the nomination for appointment.

These members also generally schedule an interview and document the interview for the public-facing records of all CWC nominations.

Step 3: Member is officially appointed to CWC by the Executive Council of the Foundation and further ratified by a jurisdiction based Independent Board.
